Animals everywhere

In an effort to try to earn some extra money to pay for music lessons, I discovered Rover.com and started an in-home pet sitting business.  We love animals and the kids have been wanting a bigger dog for a while so I thought this would help satisfy their desire to own a larger dog.  It would be sort of like being a grandparent.  We would get to play with them and spoil them then send them home and the owners could take care of the vet bills and food costs.  Being payed for it isn't to bad either.  ;)

Our first visitors came over Christmas and we have had them for 2 1/2 weeks.  We absolutely love them.  They are the sweetest two Bichon Frise brothers.  They don't shed or smell.  They get along with everyone, hardly bark and just want to sleep or cuddle most of the day.  What more could you ask for in a dog, right?

They leave tomorrow and we are all going to be very sad to see them go.

The other fun animal news right now is that Lily had another littler of puppies in November.   They all sold within days of listing them as usual, but we get to play with them another month until they are old enough to go to their new homes.

These puppies are going to be well socialized.  Especially with chubby little 3-years olds.

Lastly, our first batch of Polish Tolbunt eggs hatched in our new incubator.  For 21 days we patiently watched, hardly daring to believe that it could actually work and real live chicks were forming in those eggs.  What an exciting morning to come downstairs and see those little peepers looking out at us.
Yes, my kids sit on the counters.  Don't judge.

Welcome to the world little ones!
